YSL Holiday Collection 2011 focuses around black and white

The YSL Holiday collection is an esteem to the legendary Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo, so is focused around black and white colors in various textures to allow you to transfer the elegance and style – and even fabrics – of the tux to your eyes and nails.

The work of genius of the YSL Holiday collection is the Palette Noir Terriblement: a palette of four variations of black, and a shimmering white (Black velvet, black silk, black moiré, black lamé and white satin to be precise). Making sure it’s a must have for the party season, it can also be worn around the wrist due to a pleated, embroidered belt that comes wrapped around it.

The flip side of Palette Noir Terriblement is the Palette Smoking Blanc: three magnificent shades of highlighter – shimmering silver, shimmering pink and shimmering violet to elucidate the face.

Also in the collection are two new Ombres Duolumières palettes, °39 gold lamé / velvet black (right), and °41, Silver moiré / Black Flannel; Duo Terriblement Noir, a set of two black nail polishes, one matte and the other glossy, and three shades of Golden Gloss lip-gloss.

The Yves Saint Laurent Holiday collection will be released on 29th September in Harvey Nichols.
