The Look: In this avant-garde color collection, eyes shimmer with neutral bronze and copper tones highlighted by the season’s startling, yet very wearable citron yellow, and are emphasized with sexy, richly pigmented liner in vibrant turquoise for a smoldering gaze. Skin is fresh and warmed with lightly bronzed, contoured cheeks. Lips glow with a sheer golden hue. Nails make a statement with a soft, yet exhilarating turquoise.

I was able to preview several pieces of this collection, including the Illuminating Powder Gelée in Topaz Chameleon (above), Kajal Eye Crayon in Dramatic Teal and Pure Color Gloss in Citron Kiss. What’s so impressive about each of these products is the rich color. I can only describe the Illuminating Powder Gelée bronzer as amazing—not only for it’s surreal dimensional look, but also the intensity of color and the fact that this product can be used wet or dry. I wouldn’t wait long to pick up this limited-edition star of the collection—it will fly off the shelves.

The Kajal Eye Crayon is another standout. This chubby eyeliner gives eyes a dramatic look on skins of all shades. I was a little hesitant to try the Pure Color Gloss in Citron Kiss, however, layering on top of another lip color, softens the look.

Maison d’Anu Genie In a Bottle Product Review

Facial cleansing oils are far more prevalent than they used to be, but a good one still manages to stand out. Called Genie in a Bottle (don’t you love that name) this great facial cleansing oil from Maison D’Anu proves to be suitable for the likes of Princess Jasmine et al. The formula is easy to apply, simply moisten between the hands and add some water and it lather into a very creamy wash- feeling incredibly silky and smooth to use (that would be the oil element).
Made of 99% natural ingredients, it features a host of skin helping ingredients from Ylang Ylang Oil, Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil. Lightly fragranced, you don’t feel like you’re doused in aromatherapy, but your skin does feel instantly softer after use.
It may be oil based but I’ve found it non greasy to apply, and no breakouts were imminent after a wash- thankfully! I like to warm the oil between my hinds before applying and slow circular strokes get the best out of it, dissolving stubborn eyeshadow and long-lasting foundation easily and gently.
This is a great product for those starting to get into facial oils, and it’s so gentle on the skin. I love how it adds moisture even as it cleans away the days grime and it’s a firm favourite in the bathroom now.

Kate Moss and Rimmel launch collection of lipsticks that last

Supermodel Kate Moss has recently launched her lipstick collection Rimmel.

Sporting a pale grey number that smartly highlighted the bright red shade (No.1 from the line) of lipstick she was wearing, the supermodel demonstrated to the media the six-piece strong Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick Collection at Claridges Hotel.

The lipstick collection Rimmel will be out on September 27th (£5.49).

For the ad campaign for Rimmel Kate Moss came to her little homeland, town of Croydon, in the style she has become accustomed to – by helicopter, and looking marvelous.

Less of an advertisement, more of a short movie, it takes through a day in the supermodel life whereas Kate Moss runs around producing disorder: waking up in a bed with other three models, running away from a photographer, crashing The Vaccines recording a music video, doing a photo shoot in that racy red gown and patent red heels, evading another photographer and then running away in a helicopter while wearing pillar-box Rimmel red lipstick.

Later Kate Moss and Rimmel held a party to discuss on her lipstick collection with them.

We can’t believe we are dropping hints about Christmas already. Guerlain have announced a number of their limited edition Christmas collection, including this magnificent beauty product, a shimmery face and body powder perfumed with their Vol De Nuit.

Isn’t that bottle magnificent and smart? It would make a wonderful Christmas gift.

The powder perfumed Vol De Nuit is priced at £49.50, and the whole collection will roll out exclusively at Harrods on October 2.

Versace announces Yellow Diamond perfume

Italian designer brand Versace is launching its new Yellow Diamond perfume. An Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw stars as the face of Versace’s Yellow Diamond fragrance ad campaign. Shot by Mario Testino in Paris, Abbey Lee’s unearthly loveliness multiplies and reflects for a remarkable result.

Versace introduced its glamorous perfume line inspired by crystals in 2004 with Crystal Noir perfume, and then released the lighter and fruitier Bright Crystal in 2006. In 2011, a new scent of the collection comes to light, “a crystal that turns into a diamond,” named Yellow Diamond.

Yellow Diamond perfume is created as a pure, transparent and airy floral scent, fresh and strong as the yellow color, while being luxury and feminine like a diamond.

NARS Highlighting Powder Blush looks like a miraculous dust
