Beloved Kate Middleton’s designer Katherine Hooker is prearranged to have her first Los Angeles trunk show this week after an analogous showcase in March in New York. The show that takes place on the 6th and 7th September, meets Katherine Hooker open up her swatch book of textile and trims, so that the dining Los Angeles women can redesign their beloved Kate Middleton looks.
Katherine Hooker has been a favored Kate Middleton’s designer since even before she was the Duchess of Cambridge – dating back in 2005 when Middleton was the most glamorous student of the world. Kate was wearing her perfectly tailored coat gowns – but Katherine Hooker, who has been designing since 2001, has suggested that that was the moment for her to increase her business stateside.
This is interesting for the reason that Katherine Hooker’s style is not very of Los Angeles’. It is very, very British. Hooker is well-known for handling heavy fabrics like linens, silks and tweeds; her coats are decorated with velvet, they hark back to the customs of British military tailoring. But they are about guaranteed to be a showcase triumph, because, as it is known, anything Kate Middleton touches, or sports, is certain to turn to gold. In particular if it’s being sold in dollars, and even if it’s not climate-appropriate, or even genuinely fashionable.
