Harry Potter star Emma Watson possibly will have fans clamoring to reproduce her highly developed style, but unlike some of Hollywood’s hot young things, she’s notoriously refused to give her name to just any fashion or beauty project. And, she says, if there’s one form of celebrity licensing that really puzzles her, it’s celebrity scents.
“I can’t understand this fragrance thing,” she tells the British Press Association. “Why would you want to smell like somebody else? Don’t you want to smell like yourself?” While Eau de Emma won’t be hitting beauty counters anytime soon, fashion partnerships are something she has been more open to, currently supplying and modeling for fair-trade clothing collection Free People and posing beside younger brother Alex in a series of ads for luxury collection Burberry. “I love it, and I will continue to work in the fashion industry,” she states. “I am interested in ethical fashion, I want to make a difference and it’s nice to contribute.”
