Miuccia Prada SS12 collection at Milan Fashion Week

Cars and women were the core of the magnificent collection by Miuccia Prada SS12 showed off at Milan Fashion Week. This season the runway reminded of a huge palette of a creative artist.

As always, Prada applied irony to the flowers that decorated coats, laced tops, jackets worn with pleated skirts, some of them with fire prints. The sling-back shoe heels were enflamed as well, and the ’50s car prints, yet sweet, reminded a little of the Miu Miu signature from previous seasons.

The hair of the models was pulled back and slightly waxed, their ears adorned with jangling extended jewelry.

Nevertheless evidently referencing Miuccia Prada‘s particular style sense, this was no mindless homage to herself but a fresh fashion range of looks inspired by the 20th century’s greatest object of love of men, the car.

Adaptables speeded across to-the-knee, high waisted skirts, and cornered at high speed around leather cocktails. Together with a wonderful range of footwear featured 50′s epoch tail fins and speed marks as they shot across the runway in newly revamped show space of Miuccia Prada.
