Jaeger brand opens stores in Moscow’s malls

Jaeger has launched its first two stores in Moscow, Russia. The retailer opened in Moscow’s Metropolis mega-mall and in the luxury Vremena Goda Mall, and is planning further growth in Russia and Asian markets.

Chief executive Belinda Earl of the Jaeger brand says: ‘This is the right time and is a very exciting development for Jaeger.’

The stores stock the Jaeger London, Jaeger Black and Boutique by Jaeger collections.

The retailer chain expects to open two more stores this autumn in the Russian cities of Ekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don. Additional openings will follow in Moscow and St Petersburg. Earl stated Jaeger is considering further boutiques in the Middle East and looking at opportunities in Asia from its base in Hong Kong.

Fashion retailers with strong brands are focusing on overseas expansion against the background of an uninspiring outlook for the British High Street, reported the Daily Mail.
