Making reputation with her ‘I’m Not A Plastic Bag’ design, English fashion accessories designer Anya Hindmarch unveiled a new flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo’s shopping district. This is Hindmarch’s 22nd department store in Japan in addition to 34 shops across the world.
Set over two floors, the contemporary building features antique parquet flooring and a charcoal grey carpeted zone. The Hindmarch’s new flagship store has an English Victorian feel to it with a rare 30s Victorian museum cabinet centre piece on the top floor, which was specially built for the Maritime Museum to house a large scale model of a ship.
The concept of the English fashion accessories store is British heritage juxtaposed with the modern exterior and architecture of the building.
